• From memory my mum had it and was on meds as it used to keep her awake at night, my mum had numerous things wrong with her so it was probably a secondary condition to one of myriad issues she had. My nan recently said she has it but it doesn't wake her but used to drive my grandad nuts at night time. Does it keep you awake? I suppose deciding on meds depends on the balance of how much it's affecting you and whether the side effects are worth it.

  • Yes I think it’s probably a continuous consideration of the balance of things. It doesn’t keep me awake, but I tend to do this thing where I tense up to the point of cramp, and then ease off. Luckily I don’t seem to be going into full cramp much at all. I think I’m getting all sorts of signs that I actually need to RIDE MY DAMN BIKE as it wasn’t like this when I was doing miles. Couple of years now where I’ve basically done nothing from a couple of years of 150+ mile weeks, every week. I miss those days, but life (more kids, work). Bleargh.
