  • @M4xime -- Warehouse 1003XX. But Warehouse are notoriously mysterious with their production schedules/availability so they may not be available. It sounds like you would be good with anything modeled after a 1947 501 to be honest. They have a full seat and thigh area, with a veeeeeery slight taper below the knee.

Son of a Stag are the biggest Warehouse stockist in Europe bar none and I would say any of the 1001XX models would work for you based on what you say. 'S' in front of any of the model numbers denotes a slightly slimmer fit, so I'd just go to SOAS if you're in London and try some stuff on - from Warehouse or anyone else tbh. Full Count are more expensive than Warehouse nowadays but make jeans that fit a similar vibe. Not directly based on years but they make great jeans.

And for what its worth: any warehouse jean that says 'Dead Stock Blues' is nowadays just their standard repro line. Anything with 'DD' or 'Duck Digger' in front of the model number is their serious repro line, which are more expensive, but they go all in on details like color matching thread and stuff. And anything that has a model number of '800XX', '900XX', '1000XX' etc is not a repro at all.

The reason I haven't ever owned jeans from brands like Rogue Territory, 3Sixteen, Tellason, PBJ, ONI etc is mostly because of fit. With the exception of 3Sixteen with their CS line, none of them make jeans with as high of a rise as I would like and that's an issue for me.

  • Having a look on SoaS website, Warehouse and Full Count seem similar in price.

I'm not sure I can envisage paying over £300 for a pair of jeans. Previously I had a mental ceiling at £200, but Huit etc are all well over that now.

  • Ah, being in the U.S., Warehouse are still $250-$280 whereas Full Count are all $350 and up. I had assumed the same was the case for pricing in the UK but perhaps not. I also would not pay over 300GBP for a pair of jeans - unless they were particularly special. The Warehouse's I posted up thread were $280 all-in which seems fair.
