An honourable mention for our local purveyor of ready mixed, William The Concreter. Yep, based in Battle, the 1066 one.

I'm not sure I believe this one but apparently there's an Italian restaurant in Scotland called Bacchialdis...that is round the back of an Aldi

It’s in Airdrie. Definitely exists.

Furious that I didn't think of this one:

Length of pipe inversely affects flow
But resistance is inversely proportional to r⁴. If you scale a pipe uniformly in all three dimensions, the flow for a given pressure drop is greater in the larger pipe, even though it's longer. It's a cubic law, so doubling all the dimensions gives an eightfold increase in volume flow.

This is a 5 star strapline for modern life
NO QUALITY THERE IS NO TOMORROW
Seems like a great slogan to help us drag ourselves through this era of neoliberal enshittification...

And like I said previously, my urology nurse wife will tell you that an enlarged prostate throws this theory down the toilet (to coin a phrase)

Yeah because the radius/cross sectional area is the greatest determinant. So no disagreement between tester and your wife (by proxy).
Anyway, on with the memes

Used to go on holiday here with my mate and his family. Within an hour of arriving, me and him managed to kick a football at someone's caravan and broke off the water supply connector going into it.
Mate's Dad was a bit cross, took us to apologise to the owner, and opened the conversation with "Sorry to ruin your Sandyballs experience, but these lads have snapped your stopcock off"He knew exactly what he was doing.

Stayed at SandyBalls a few times on family holidays, and a couple of times with the crew for cycling weekenders.
Cannot fault it.

They used to run very good triathlons too - Forestman, New Forest Half.
I think this is only good if you know it's in Shirley
