  • Straight banger. Hoods when?

  • hoods when i decide to set it up with a rim fork. Most likely next sunny season. I have the rim and hub, need some 1 /1/2 forks.... I'll wait for the forum cornucopia to provide that. And a QR disc carbon front wheel to spice up this disc setup.

(I also have grand plans of putting an hydro crosstop lever on these forks )

  • You don't fancy the cable disc with hoods?

  • I could do that road-fixed swap yes, when the time for longish road rides comes. i had the eastway for so long like that !

Those famed di2 levers are waiting in the corner, bought under hdij pressure

  • need some 1 /1/2 forks....

Did i miss when you threw the OG forks in the bin? Bike is looking great, how are you finding drops/crosstop life? Whenever i go road fixed i just get lazy and rest on the hoods and the reach is giving my back to much grief atm. Wouldn't mind trying something a bit different but as i'm no skidder feel like i'd be shifting my hands to a less than optimum position so i can reach the little lever.

  • I am in love

  • i didn't throw them away ! but the mash forks have something like 30mm rake, so toe overlap on roads can be avoided with something else, such as these enves. also i can keep them undrilled in the event of using this bike on track one day, maybe...

hoods and crosstop is a challenge if i am honest. a fun one though. I have mostly been doing a few Regents laps with it so that's fine for that in my opinion.
The bars are shallow 38cm giant ones that came on an omnium, they are great to reduce the drop and the reason i wanted to give it a try.

Surely it won't stay built up like that forever, i'll holla when another front end iteration is ready.

  • So so good.

  • looks nice that

  • Smooth as

  • Thanks people. An enjoyable build
And now the Ac4s are out !

  • Bar the paint there’s nothing new with the AC4 by the looks of things? Think they hit the spot with the 3, fantastic frame. You’ve also nailed it, great look! T

  • yeah they are very lazy ! no actual paint, no innovations... take my money !

Other realisations include the mess that is build list : giant bars, specialized seatpost, fabric saddle, pro stem... and it goes on. kinesis front wheel, venn rear rim, prime bearing cap.
    i need help

  • mess curated

  • Too much matchy gives off a try hard vibe in my opinion... Looks pretty dialed for what it's worth. The envy fork looks good and has tempted me to consider buying an older version with canti stud mounts from my local fb marketplace even though there is a wound up available as well.

  • Agreed, I like the happy accidents of the parts bin... if something matching, cheap and nice turns up I might go for it.
Now enve or woundup, tough choice ... Look inside you, you must.

  • I don't really see how it could be improved, it's an alu regents ripper. No reason to over work it, St Peter has already thrown the gates open, only job left is for Him to count the skid patches as you shred through

  • The wound up is slightly more money then the enve fork and will have more of a resemblance to the nature boy fork I have currently on my Vig. Weight is not really an issue worth considering so it is really down to looks. I like the smooth transition of the head tube connection of your build with the enve. I have the same sentiment as the above post... All that's left to do is do it!
