  • Brian Rourke frame in 753 from 1986 and according to BR probably built by Paul Washington.

In very good condition…no dings or dents and the chrome is virtually perfect.

The front mech braze on boss has been sympathetically removed…and it fine….paint is not perfect but then again the frame is 38 years old and as far as I know it is the original paint on the frame.

    Here are the details:

    Top tube: 54cm/21.25”
    Seat tube (C2T): 54cm/21.25”
    Seat tube (C2C): 52.5cm/20.67”
    Head tube: 12cm/4.73” approximately
Serial No: 1919 (verified by BR)
    Seatpost diameter:27.2mm
    Rear spacing: 130mm
    Front spacing: 100mm
Weight: 2.51kg (frame, forks and headset)
    BB shell: BSA/68mm Threads perfect
    Dropouts: Campagnolo front and rear
Brakes: Rim brakes with recessed AK bolts
Includes: STI bosses, drinks bottle bolts and a Campag Athena headset with new Campag bearings in races.

£275 including postage (Parcelforce)…I have a frame box or delivery to Kings Cross Station in London or collection from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire but sans postage.

  • I can include a J-Tek black seat post with set back for free.

Also can include a pair of Shimano Wheels…for an extra £0…yes £0!

I can’t post…so for frame and wheels…either collection or meet at Kings Cross.

The hubs are Ultegra in silver with QR skewers on Mavic Reflex sprint rims with two Conti Sprinter tubs (both in good condition) both with 32 spokes. Currently it has an 8 speed cassette but easily replaced with a 9-11 speed cassette….If anyone is interested…I can post photos of the seatpost and wheels.

  • Nice frame

  • Ha. I was waiting for someone to pipe-up about chroming 753

  • I asked BR that question as I read Reynolds recommended that 753 tubes were not to be chromed.

  • I am going to London on Saturday (5 October)....fare is a bit cheaper....so £265.

  • Please explain your point?

  • Frameset and free wheelset and seatpost…£260 this Saturday morning at Kings Cross Station.

  • If no one is interested and it looks like no one is interested…it will go on Retrobike and eBay by the weekend…😿

  • Weight (ok, mass) of the frame, forks and headset is 2.51 kg.

Now on Retrobike …thread closed 😿
