  • I will gift the local combat 18 membership a pound of yam , and a kilo of cow foot

  • Exactly this, if she knew anything g then there would be no ‘open secrets’ with the insinuation/“no smoke without fire” that follows.

Oakeshott is a credible journalist like Tice is a serious politician.

  • I think the point is that if these things are offered they have to be recorded.

Even if rejected or sent to a central pool for senior management to cream off.

    funniest possible outcome lmaoo

  • you love to see it

  • Rosie Duffield is a horrible transphobe, so good riddance. But lol at Starmer getting an MP resigning this soon due to his ‘sleaze, nepotism and greed’

  • her resignation letter is a bit

  • Resignation letter is very bitter and refers back to when she was first elected in 2017, begs the question why she stood for the Labour Party just three months ago (I wonder what some of those who voted for her think).

Not sure the departure of a transphobe and alleged antisemite will have the impact she hopes.

  • Surely she’s left the party because nobody likes her? The ‘sleaze, nepotism and greed’ seem like a convenient excuse.

  • It's inexplicable that she was allowed to stand or retained the whip before after some of her comments. Good riddance.

  • should be said labour cleared her of liking some holocaust denial tweets from a twitter user best known for being divorced:

one of the many ways they bent over to reactionary bigots in the run up to the election. people who will turn coat as soon as they've got what they wanted. in her case, 93kx5, a parliamentry pass, expense account and a soap box to say some anita bryant shite.

i'd take a punt on it's why we're getting treatboy / sue grey gate now. beth rigby has found out she wont get the comms role and some poor sod in the pms office is annoyed they didn't get a fair share of the tickets/ their son a safe seat.

suppose it's what you get when you construct a party out of suit shaped narcicists. bet labour as a whole are not worried but some of the front bench are rubbing their hands over regretfully having to ask starmer if he will step aside to best continue our project in 3/4 years.

  • … and the answer to turbulence in no.10 is a guy who tanked a majority of 22,000 as the rest of his party returned to government. the grown up brain geniuses in the labour right trying to reinstall their democratically-ousted mate, while a corruption / cronyism scandal rumbles in the background? nice, very nice

  • Duffield has long looked semi detached from the party. I wonder where she might end up; Reform ? Perhaps?

  • Could see her going all Lozza Fox to make some money

  • I wonder where she might end up; Reform ? Perhaps?

It would be very on-brand of her to leave Labour citing greed and sleaze and join Farridge's personal limited company. She should never have been allowed to stand for Labour anyway.

  • She’d fit right in with Lee Anderson

  • Can anyone help me understand why we are “standing with” Israel when they’re mid genocide and aggressing towards war across the Middle East?

What about Lebanon’s right to defence?

  • You know any anti Israel comments, statements or policies are antisemitic right.

    🦶in👄

  • Not a single western (or potentially any) state prioritizes human rights or self determination over geo-politicking and defense.

Whilst the US/UK will publicly condemn certain actions, military action will always be physically supported as Israel is an essential component of foreign policy. Bibi knows this better than any one.

  • Define western? Many countries in the EU are loudly decrying Israel's behaviour. Does Western mean the UK and US now?

  • In term of foreign policy basically US, Germany, France and the UK.

(Trump is/was an exception in some areas but not the Middle East and Israel.)

  • Also have the EU or any EU states committed any actions to hinder Israel in the last year? Genuine question I couldn’t see anything other than condemnation.

But basically I don’t expect Starmer and David Lammy to start rocking the boat of decades long policy and agreements.

  • Also have the EU or any EU states committed any actions to hinder Israel in the last year? Genuine question I couldn’t see anything other than condemnation.

Starmer cancelled a few permits for arms sales, but ones that will have a minor effect on supply of a small amount of parts and would not make a difference for 3-4 years. So, basically to try to win back some goodwill from the anti-genocide community without actually doing anything meaningful.

  • I’m not being obtuse but, when you say foreign policy- what is UK foreign policy? Just get in line with the US?
