Olympus Sport! Had completely forgotten about those. I bought some Ocean Pacific t-shirts there. Expensive, but so worth it.

I have a pair of Pegasus trail shoes from a couple of years ago when there was a more subtle all black edition. Would recommend. Comfy, hella grippy, splash proof but not submerge proof like a decent waxed walking boot would be.

Yes, I used to play basketball in the YMCA basement across the road. It was HiFi central back then.

They’ve been sitting here on the shelves for a couple of weeks now. Finally pulled the trigger today.

You copped the AM1 86 Powerwall? In the UK?

Singapore. To be honest I’m not sold on them. They feel very flimsy. Also had to go up half a size.

Anyone owned any Etonic runners?
Had a couple of the basketball shoes and found them comfy and great quality so tempted to take a punt on these in the sale.

Now there's a name I've not heard for a long time.

File next to Saucony and Karhu for brands pretending they were actually popular in the 80s-90s so they bring back these "classic" styles and watch them instantly go on sale for 55% off.

But if Asics can fool people into thinking Gel Kayanos are a lifestyle shoe then all bets are off. Fake nostalgia a-go-go

Just got a pair of 574s. What a shoe, forgot how good they are.

I get your point but its not like any of the 'big boys' are trying lifestyle classics in new materials / colourways.
At least the likes of Saucony / Diadora / Karhu are trying to offer 'retro' runners in new inspiring tones / materials.
The major brands are really scrapping the barrel atm imo.
I mean Yezzy? are available in Sports Direct.

I welcome jogging pumps like this.
They upset the purists, they are not endorsed by some skater/basketball player who means nothing to you and they don’t look like they were designed by a 16 year old with a cosplay fetish.
Or that ridiculous wedge thing hanging out the back like a rude boy rear spoiler on a warmed up executive saloon that also has it’s rear drum brake painted red. -

This is 100% my aesthetic right now.

The levels of snark in this thread are almost back to the levels of the good old days. Quality work.

It's a media dad thread now.

I don’t mind saucony.

55% off well-made trainers works for me. I’ve got better things to do than get swept up than read any of the guff from trainer brands so this has all gone over my head.

Yeah I stopped at the Shadow GTX but they keep catching my 'media Dad' insta eye. (I fukin hate the media)

Kayanos. I got monkied into buying a pair of ltd Hanon colabs years ago thinking I'd be able to flip them. Nobody wanted them. Ended up making a huge loss. Serves me right. Should have waited a few years until the kids were all about the Y2K aesthetic 😊

Your kids will soon be old enough to go to Soho on their own at 6am to queue up for you, no standing in the rain for fresh drops for you!
It was really weird because before I found it I saw some guys from London who I had only seen in The Face or ID in pics from The WAG or Brain walking round Boulogne on a Saturday afternoon dripping in old school adidas and some shelltoes made into platforms (might have been the guys who ended up doing Acupuncture?) and was wondering what was going on.
Never ever been able to find any reference or comments about it online but I know I bought a pair of shoes there!
