New poll today suggests Jen would win, but it's close enough (52:48 - haha!) that Clev could still snatch it.

Because he seems to have learnt that his idiotic comments, of which there have been plenty, are best kept to himself these days. Jenrick and, especially, Badenoch, are just spewing them out at every opportunity.

Badenoch's "5-10% of civil servants should be in prison" claim will be sure to endear herself to them if she ever does somehow get into power.
