I got fed up with Farmison as they kept on missing items from my orders and didn't apologise or send me a voucher. They did refund the missing items but it was a hassle as I had to source them at short notice as I had a menu planned.
So now I mainly use Dorset Meats or Turner and George.

Doesn't look like they have much stock right now, but Meat Matters beef is really, really tasty. Might be worth getting in touch with them to see if new stock soon.
Otherwise, depending on where you are Thomas Joseph and Turner and George do online and are consistently excellent.

not an expert but I use ras al hanout (top of the shelf) and then some belazou tagine paste, do sometimes add a bit of sumac even though it’s not really a tagline thing.

Any one do Hello Fresh?
Been using them for a few years now. It takes the need to think about what to cook, what to buy and wasting loads of fresh ingredients that go off unused in the fridge, only 3 or 4 meals a week. We're veggie and don't want to make the same stuff every week, so it gives a bit of variety too.
Anyways, last night was bahn mi inspired vegetarian rolls, and have to say its one of the best we've had.

Made this last night. Am already working out how soon is too soon to make it again. One of those recipes that is SO much more than it seems on paper....

We use Riverford meal boxes for the same reason. During the week we get their plant based meals for 2 or 3 days. It saves going to supermarkets (we are half an hour drive from the nearest full size supermarket) and ensures all the ingredients are there and minimises waste. Come the weekend we have a little more time to source ingredients and are omnivores.
What Riverford also save me from is going to the supermarket to buy ingredients for tonight’s meal while I am hungry. If I go shopping whilst peckish I invariably buy something for my immediate hunger, plus a meal and possibly sweets or a pudding.

Liz says I eat too much bread, so today instead of sandwiches I took a gumbo sized salad to work. This was an outstanding success. As I’ve only eaten half a packet of ginger biscuits and 2 vegan sausage rolls since.
Batch cooked some black bean, squash and coconut curry so I’m taking some of that tomorrow (tastes better than it looks)

Pre fried tofu....talk to me about it.
-
• #33597
It’s tofu that has already been fried prior to purchase.

The deep fried puffy stuff? It good in salads and bowls.

That stuff soaks up sauce beautifully. Great with a laksa or Thai curry.
I made Meera Sodha's carrot laksa recently and I would recommend (maybe take out half the carrots and put in some different veg, I used broccoli, mini sweetcorn, spinach and something else).

Sounds good! Is that in Fresh?
Any recommendations for good online meat retailers? Used Donald Russell and Farmison before which have been good.
I'm cooking a beef wellington for 6 people in a couple of weeks so I need a nice bit of beef fillet/chateaubriand.
