  • True and he's pretty great at engineering solutions too, more so than probably gets appreciated by just making bikes.
    He engineered a recumbent shifting solution where a shifter moved a cassette side to side and a stationary chain tensioner took up the slack in place of a derailleur, maintaining a perfectly straight chain line in all gears.
    He mentions it on Joe Roggenbuck's (off of cobra) Shut Up and Build Bikes Podcast

    If Shimano floats your boat by all means. But dat crank so ugly. Get some Rotors or Eastons or something! Makes it look more boutique too

  • Or do a square taper Shimano 5 arm 110bcd with min. 38t narrow wide.
    Well on second thought, probably don't.
