  • Another ideal candidate for Fixed/SS conversion - 95/120mm OLN, built for 27" wheels so plenty of space for wider rubber. Usual paint rub here and there, but a wax over can sort it nicely.

22" in size seat tube ctc. Built in 1960, frame No 97

£40 only, based in Slough, collection preferred but other options available.

  • Well there's something I never knew about my spiritual home.

You've given me life added purpose

  • It seems like croydon hosted a good few quality frame builders over the years

  • Jensen

The man behind the Jensen name was John Barclay, who dedicated the latter part of his long life (He died last year, aged 93) to taking promising young riders to the continent (mainly Belgium) to learn the game. He could certainly pick them - his proteges include all the big names of recent decades: Cavendish, Wiggo, Tao, Geraint etc.

  • Yes, J Barclay was quite a name in cycling circuits, shame BC did not gave him much of terms in financial support for all the work he did.
