  • Great. So I'm performing at expected levels!

  • Yeah need to work out a plan but lots of change going on at the moment which won’t be forever 🤞

  • Are you ageing in reverse?

  • Legit

  • I only recognised the jersey 3 laps in so missed excellent heckling opportunities. Plus my first attempt was something feeble like “too many gears”.
    Terrible performance from me today…

  • I thought that was probably you. I’ve had worse heckles.

  • It’s been a long off season, need to get the brain working again…

  • How was HHV? Palace next week!

  • Pretty tacky for my race, but from what others were saying the course was drying out through the day.

Looking forward to Palace, you guys always make great use of the features of the park.

  • Anyone have any mud tubs they don’t need/use anymore - after some fmb super muds/dugast rhinos or challenge limus ideally?

Managed to find some cheap tubular rims that I’m going to build up for my eldest now he is racing full courses :)

  • So envious. Would love to make CP next week but can’t see it happening

  • Who’s racing tomorrow?
I’m going to risk it with the trapped nerve in my leg but hopefully it will be worth.
Big turn out as well, 81 have signed up for the Senior race!

  • Yeah, it seems like a popular venue, 70 riders entered for the v50+ race.

I've got a head cold, but unless it deteriorates over night, I'm planning to race still.

  • Did you race in the end? I saw the start of the Senior race, but it was hard to pick anyone out in such a big field. (Everyone I spoke to was commenting on how big their respective race fields were).

  • Yes I did. Had a great start but blew up about 20 minutes in and started haemorrhaging places.
A lot of people said they really enjoyed the course but I think it was one of my least favourites. I'm also not sure if I actually like Cross...

  • Did a couple of mixed surface rides on this. These do not like road or gravel. Any good still or bin it ?

  • Absolutely fine for a dry course i would say.

Plenty of grip on the sides!

  • Anyone want it for free? My front is far less worn and I've got a new one for the back plus a new pair of cross boss for dryer days. This is a spare I can't ever see myself needing.

  • What are those? Michelin Power Mud?
I have them and they are the best tyre I've used (but don't take my advise, I'm shit at cross)

  • Yeah Power Mud only giving away the one I had on the rear as the front is only half as worn. The grip is great but even though I don't race much nowadays I like to do the couple that are local to me and I ride there and back which seems to shred these.

  • Palace was great, although racing the day after my wedding was... difficult (my wife made me enter!). Hoping to have a bit of form for Somerhill this weekend, I DNFd there in 2022 when my chain went over the top of the cassette into my axle/skewer and it took forever to get it free again.

  • The Iserbyt fine situation might be the most cliche Belgian thing I’ve ever seen.

  • A new record for me: I raced for 80 minutes in 50 race. It wasn't just me the winners raced for 68 minutes.
    Someone got their sums wrong!

  • Somerhill? Or somewhere else?

Edit: In relation to my above post, I did not find any form.
