Hitler had undiagnosed mental health issues, but it doesn't make his actions ok, understandable or relatable.
Ever imagined him as a baby? That's an interesting exercise

Did your car witness a crime? Bay Area police may be coming for your Tesla — and they might tow it
In Oakland and beyond, police called to crime scenes are increasingly looking for more than shell casings and fingerprints. They’re scanning for Teslas parked nearby, hoping their unique outward-facing cameras captured key evidence. And, the Chronicle has found, they’re even resorting to obtaining warrants to tow the cars to ensure they don’t lose the video.https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/article/tesla-sentry-mode-police-evidence-19731000.php

Snap!
Pretty tough to picture him without it.
Come to think of it, one of those would suit Elon pretty well

Today he's spreading JD Vance's myth about Haitian immigrants stealing and eating pets. Just another normal day in Muskworld.

This is his response after deleting his twitter post asking why no one's tried to assassinate biden/Harris
Turns out that jokes are WAY less funny if people don’t know the context and the delivery is plain text
Tbh it's pretty funny He spent 40bil on something that he doesn't know the basics of

Though the tweet was something about him talking to a room of employees and they all laughed.

There's a theory that Musk may soon have to sell $1-$2bn of Tesla stock because X is short of cash. Lots of detail in Fortune magazine https://fortune.com/2024/08/15/elon-musk-tesla-stock-sale-twitter-x-advertiser-boycott-finances-bradford-ferguson/

Not sure which thread to post this in

Yeesh. It's not out of place here, but if there's no better place for it, that suggests the forum is missing a thread.
Man with a name like a Fight Club character, definitely has a much-thumbed copy of "Atlas Shrugged" on his bedside table, probably played Bioshock all the way through thinking it was the story of a heroic, libertarian visionary betrayed by communists, quite likely to create Rapture as it turned out in the game (not in the deluded Andrw Ryan's head) should his scheme ever become reality.

I know the term fascist gets thrown around a lot, but there is a feeling of those original extreme groups like the early fascists and anarchists, maybe the futurists?

Wasn't that tried before and it failed for all the obvious reasons?

Ha!
I think part of what allows these guys to entertain these ideas is their enormous privilege. I wonder if they had to work out how to deal with a broken leg with no easy access to treatment or means to pay for it they would still think what they think.

If history is repeating itself, it's doing it faster this time. The same people leading the charge to drag us back to c19 robber baron capitalism are also prepping the movement that succeeded it.

Genuinely what is going to happen?
The Democrats are going to go, "oh well, we've won the last two elections, and won the popular vote for the last 30yrs, so let's just sack off the next one?"
Or is that is point, just articulated incredibly shitly?

Sort of just more anti-immigrant.
Interesting, that he assumes immigrants are never going to vote Republican, nor that their children will.
It's also totally ignorant of the idea that maybe the alternative voice isn't this weirdo crop of anti-female, negative, unaspirational, deviants. If the Republicans could muster up someone normal, not backed by religious zelots offering a positive vision of the future I reckon they might secure a larger popular vote share.
I haven't read one of his proper tweets before, but he very much seems like someone who just gets smoke blown up his arse and never listens thoughtfully to anything.

Particularly given he's an immigrant.
I'll second most spectrum folk being over empathetic to a point of it being debilitating as opposed to having none, that's more socio/psychopathic which goes way more in hand with narcissistism/thundering megacuntery
