Come on Bristol, let the rain hold off, this series deserves a decider.
-
• #16382
Definitely. A good competitive test with ebbs and flows and plenty of SL players contributed to the win :)

Decider in the Eng-Aus ODI series today. It's only been on periphery of my attention, because of SL test series.
But it looks like the series has got to 2-2 without a close match yet. Is that a fair comment? Hope we get a close decider today

yes, fair. England trying to defend 315 in the first match was probably the closest, bus Aus got there with 6 overs and 7 wickets to spare so not exactly close in the end.
Hoping for a good game today.

No way the match today plays to a finish.
The weather forecast is apocalyptic

I’ve lived 400m away from the ground since 2014. Since then there have been 7 England ODIs there. Three rained off with no result and one shortened due to rain. Guess which four games I had tickets for?

Scoring fast early is a very sound tactic for possible DLS outcomes.
Bravo England.

Was about to say this could be over quite quickly.

after that spree of boundaries, Eng are gonna need a clutch of wickets to get ahead on DLS

Getting Head's wicket hasn't really helped.

All weather apps are telling me that it is pissing it down in Bristol.
But it's apparently not

It’s not raining right this second but could do any second by the looks of the sky. Grim day to be huddled in a stand

England scheduling seems determined to scupper the games at these non-traditional international grounds. They put test matches in Durham in April when it’s almost always freezing and Bristol gets these ODI games almost in October, when it’s notorious for being wet in the West Country. Just plain daft.

• #16396
Yeah, they should just schedule 12 matches in July/August in London where it never rains.

Hmm. BBC Cricket text written by confabulating AI?

A half-decent comeback for England there on what was until the fourth wicket fell unquestionably Pakistan's day. It still is for the most part, but that last wicket gave the tourists a glimmer of hope going in to day two.

Cracking game in the WT20WC this afternoon.
A nice contrast to the very very red ball affair in Pakistan.
Hard to justify setting an 0530 alarm for tomorrow. But I probably will.
