I'm playing some 45s at my local bouji cafe/bar tonight. Only bit im not looking forward to is lugging my technics down there as nowhere has decks now

I would, but I'm struggling to see where they would go in my house.

I dont have anywhere to keep mine set up. I use one of my 1200s as my record player and I keep the other and my mixer (vestax PCV275) in flight cases.

Hence the reason I've still not managed to get round to getting any mixes recorded ever :-/

I can see where I do want it. It's an extravagance though....

Build a rectangular box with a removable lid from MDF, paint/varnish to your liking, attach coffee table legs of your choice to the bottom. Extension cord inside with decks and mixer plugged in. Hole on the bottom to connect single extension from wall socket for power. Bluetooth speakers.

Sit on the couch and mix, cover it up and use as a coffee table when you're not. 😉

I saw marshall Jefferson 20 years ago at a roller disco thing in mcr. He was not great.in my opinion. But given I was more interested in other things I might not have been entirely fair.

Going to African Head Charge tomorrow night at Fox & Firkin. Don't think I can manage two nights in a row there, I was quite interested in hearing Marshall Jefferson tbh. Never mind.

#csb: He put a few pics from Friday night up on insta yesterday. Two of my old drummers were present, one I played with when I was a teenager and the other who was playing that night I was in two or three bands with during the 90s/00s. And both French!

You might know one, Mitch. He's a big vinyl guy, buys and sells all kinds of wonderful exotic stuff.

Yeah my mate Joe (him and another guy called Matt are ‘Hellfire Video Club’) played fuzzfest previously I think. He mainly just does shows in Noods radio these days.

Hey dude that would be cool. Happy to have a two hour set from you as some months I just can't get time to do the show. Next Sunday is a case in point, though no pressure to do one by then unless you want to. Something's come up so I guess I'll ask Station Boss to re-play an earlier show.
