• I never understood the forward slam. Don't you end up with a lot of weight in your wrists?

  • Last time I checked, Phil didn't have weight a lot of weight to worry about

  • Definitely. Always got sore hands.
    It just means you can get over the cranks and it feels like you can get the power down.

  • For fitting, it totally depends on your body type, some people have long torso, short arms, etc etc.

    There is also the argument (usually a rule for pros) that the further your weight is over the BB, the better the position is with your weight further forward over the front, which benefits handling as well as power generation from your legs.

    On the other hand, the biggest sign if your bike saddle is too far forward is an expanded load on the upper body and handlebars (sore wrists)

    Basically it’s a magic ratio dependant on the rider 🤷‍♂️
