Off to Cambridge for a bike fit. No, I'm not riding there. I don't actually cycle any more.
Arkose is coming with me as a starting point but the fit is for the new bike.
I've ridden the supersix a grand total of twice in 6 months. Since I basically only ride on my own these days, it's pretty wasted on me so I'm thinking of selling it.
New bike will replace the arkose and do the odd road bimble with fat slicks on and ill rebuild the Ti winter bike for all proper road riding.

Who are you getting to do the bike fit?
-
• #431
I'm going to Ben at Primo cycles
-
• #432
Cool. Don't buy a Moots.
-
• #433
Solid advice that I will bear in mind
-
• #434
Cool. Do buy a Moots
-
• #435
Why?
-
• #436
Thanks for managing to leave the words 'gravel bike' out of that post
-
• #437
God no, it won't be a gravel bike. It will be for gnarmac specifically

Tilebagging bike?
We badly needed updates to the phildas current project thread -
• #439
We need Phil back in the kitchen where he belongs
-
• #440
Because going for a bike fit and walking away £7k worse off seems excessive.

• #441
It's a fair point

Looking for a house at the moment and one of our (my) requirements is a garage or good shed for a workshop. So it might happen.
Unlikely to be in the kitchen again though -
• #443
Just pump and dump the Arkose then? Ruthless
-
• #444
Sounds great. I've been looking for a house with a garage for 5 years now :)

Bit sad, it's a great bike and the new one will undoubtedly be heavier but I've been chasing the feeling of my 853 Fugio ever since I ruined it with mudguards and shitty paint and the arkose leaves me cold. It's all about the feels

User amey will be pleased to hear that bike fit doesn't agree with me slamming my saddle as far forward as I can get it.
I'm as shocked as you are -
• #448
I never understood the forward slam. Don't you end up with a lot of weight in your wrists?
-
• #449
fucks SAKE
-
• #450
Last time I checked, Phil didn't have weight a lot of weight to worry about
Very neat for finishing, whats the ID on the bar tape?
