I'll certainly be able to justify spending the money if someone buys my Bullitt. I really need it to go first, for the space as well as finance (https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/399579/#comment17526862 quick plug in case anyone wants it!)
Those Thorns are tempting, a lot of bike for the money. I dk about Swytch but electric would be fun as long as it doesn't look too deliveroo.

I just showed daughter some pics of both and she is into the idea, but we need to get buy in from my wife - as its mainly for her (well sort of but not really!). I also need something that can take daughter + panniers or other luggage for grocery shopping trips which either tandem would do wellI guess I need the Bullitt to go first so mustn't get carried away and start bidding on stuff, but good to have a plan!

In a less pricy option there are a load of Thorn's on ebay at the moment, including one with a Swytch. Although with a 7yo you'll probably be OK.
Definitely the cheaper proof of concept.
