Aye, that would be understandable. I'm talking about fully employed cunts working in an industry that is entirely accommodating of sickleave/working from home, but view it as some sort of 'badge of honour'/something to be applauded for that they've struggled in with whatever fucking lurgy isn't working hard enough to kill them.

Yeah, permies that didn't take sick leave and got contractors sick belong in the I Hate list. :)

Dreaming. I've been tasked with putting replacement (not original supplied) legs onto an IKEA tabletop.
I'm not confident of a positive outcome but fingers crossed. (May ask questions in Home DIY thread)

Some proper talent in that thread - I'm sure the answers will be found there!

I'm going to run 10 miles first to put off the task.

Can I borrow the 3 year old? As they sound like fun havoc if I don't have to deal with the consequences.

Seemingly functioning middle class parents who insist on entering small coffee shops with prams to order takeaway beverages. Wait outside FFS

Id offer to do it for you, but I really hate DIY now. Used to get satisfaction from a job done. Nower days it is just more hassle and end up feeling shit.

My 4 year old has always been highly strung too. We still get screaming fits when it's time for bed and basically anytime we say no about anything.

Two year olds get a bad rep. Three year olds are the actual worst.
My first was an absolute delight when she was two, and, like the naive fools we were, we were pretty chuffed to have avoided the much advertised terrible twos. Then she turned 3 and was an absolute unbearable prick for the next year and a bit.

end up feeling shit.
This is the way.

Funny, I put baltic birch ply over Ikea legs for our kitchen table.

How'd it go? Any tips? I don't know what length & diameter screws to choose or if I need to drill pilot holes.

I dunno, it’s not great to leave your child outside and most cafe staff aren’t coming out to take your order

Indeed. It's not terrible 2s at all. She was a fucking delight when 2.

Terrible twos
Terribler threes
Terriblerer fours
...Currently at the "Fuck you, you just have no idea!" level now (14yo).

I’ve witnessed this the most with American women that I know, so there’s probably something cultural I’m missing, but it’s this…
Mobile phone rings, caller ID on the screen. They pick up and their “Hello!?” comes across like “who the fuck is this calling now and why is the TV remote ringing!?”
Cracks me up, tbh, but I also secretly hate it.

This is what a teacher friend has to put up with. This teen, who last year smeared his shit on the walls of a corridor at school, well they think it was his shit but didn't ask. Generally turns up to lessons late, like 15 to 20 minutes, you can't send him out of the classroom to the office for being late, no books in class, generally disruptive in class, has threatened/intimidated the assistant that the children get sent to when thrown out of class so gets seng back to class.
How do you deal with someone like that?

They typically end up in a Pupil Referral Unit.

It was very easy to attach the top, I used self tapping screws and added a spacer in between the top and frame. I'll try and get a pic later on when I'm home.
The frame is the Melltorp.
Like so:

Learning Luxembourgish at the moment (yes it's a language, and I don't NEED it but I committed so I'm doing it) and the teacher who is a 20-something woman said politely in Luxembourgish not to come to class if you're sick but then in English "fucking stay at home if you're sick... I like teaching... I don't fucking like being sick".
quite admired the honesty and the correct usage of fuck.
And she's just started school, so you would think that those would be the reasons, but it started months ago.
