• Hello everyone,

I'm selling my 1990s Claud Butler Dalesman tourer, I had planned to keep it after recently renovating the bike but sadly just don't have room in my little London flat, as much as I want to.

Much of the bike is original and in fantastic condition (including the original Ritchey Logic cantilevers) although as previously mentioned it has also had a full strip down and service, with new Campagnolo cable inner and outers, chain and cassette. I also upgraded the cockpit to 9speed record, with the addition of new Nitto/Deda stem and bars. I'm happy to say that it's all shifting beautifully and spinning smoothly. The original dark metallic green paint job is also still in immaculate condition (sadly the decals didn't age quite as well but I think it looks better without them anyhow). I've listed the full spec below:

Frame & Forks: Claud Butler Dalesman 58cm (seat tube c-c) Reynolds 531st tubing
    Levers: Record 9 speed ergos
    Bars: Deda Specials 40cm c-c
    Stem: Nitto Technomic 110mm
    Headset: Tange Seiki
    Brakes: Ritchey Logic (!!!!)
    Chainset: Campagnolo Mirage Triple
    Rear Mech: Campagnolo Mirage
    Front Mech: Campagnolo mirage
    Cassette: Campagnolo Veloce 13-26
    Chain: Campagnolo Record 9 Speed
    Saddle: San Marco Rolls
    Seatpost: Unbranded aero style seatpost
Wheels: Campagnolo Mirage (with incredibly hard to find 9 speed 26mm lockring) / Mavic
    Tyres: Panaracer Fairweather 700 x 32c

Feel free to get in touch with any questions or if you need further details. I'm also aiming to fit the bike with a set of stainless Berthoud mudguards at some point soon, will add pics when I do.

Currently looking for £750 and collection from Central London although happy to sort out a courier at buyer's expense.

  • Classic classy glws

  • Ah, 'a bike for life'... as they used to say

  • What's the clearance on that bike?

  • Merci merci

  • I’d say 35’s without guards, and 32’s with. You could maybe squeeze in a pair of slick 38s if you bring the rear wheel back in the drops but it would be cutting it fine.

  • It very easily could be

  • what a beautiful bike!! glws
