Get a tandem. Cheap and come with child assistance. What is the rationale for a cargo bike with a 7yo?
Just stumbled across this post from a few weeks back - thanks, it's good advice for me at the moment.
Daughter has decided that she doesn't want to go in the Bullitt any more. So I am selling that and I was thinking of a long tail, but a tandem probably makes more sense. We already have a tagalong, which she enjoys.

Have you seen the Circe Helios?

It can convert between child tandem / adult tandem / cargo
Get a tandem. Cheap and come with child assistance. What is the rationale for a cargo bike with a 7yo? Isn't this your youngest too? So what's that 1yr of use?
Thorn Voyager are regularly <£500. Circe Helios Triplet would be the baller option and probably still a fraction of cargo bike.
(only speaking from the experience of trying to justify a mid/long tail then coming to the realisation that it's not the correct solution... although I think some sort of rear mounted bike is what I'll actually go for now)
