  • Unfortunately I don’t have a partner to treat to such a special weekend but my two kids did enjoy it as a Dad and Daughters camping bonanza…

  • Is anyone following the shit show around Camille Herron this week?

    https://runningmagazine.ca/the-scene/u-s-ultrarunner-camille-herron-involved-in-wikipedia-controversy/

    🤦

  • Following a little, since I follow Rex's endeavours.

  • Beau Miles is always worth watching. Has anyone ever been so eternally positive about pretty much everything?

  • Our signature MothTech™ T-shirt with strategically placed holes for ventilation and cooling.

    120 GBP

what the fuck is wrong with these people

  • any luck with spare shoes ? :)

  • know you said 9.5, but I'll likely be replacing some size 10's soon if they're not on the large side

  • Vaporfly 3 for £119, albeit need to give Mike Ashley money for them
    https://www.sportsdirect.com/nike-zoomx-vapor-n3-sn99-218227

  • I had to give him money yesterday at full price, it is getting harder to find the asics ones I prefer in my size in shops or online.

  • yeah, I got some Adios Pro 3's from him too. A steal (relative, given silly shoe prices...) at £109 and by all accounts they last for a long time, so figured worth a try.

  • Maybe, I had some Adidas which were too short in length, depends on the fit i suppose

  • I’m shopping for some autumn/winter gear and thinking of treating myself to some tracksmith items, until I saw the cost all totalled up (even with a new customer 20% discount)! Does anyone here have any tracksmith gear? Is it a cut above other brands? I have a few saysky bits I like but in fear of becoming a walking (running) saysky advertisement

Watched this last night, scenery looks amazing - if I ever get to travel to Australia I'll time it to coincide with this race!

  • It’s not a cut above, but it is nice, and trendy.
    What Rapha was 15yrs ago

  • For £32, I'd want socks that run by themselves.

  • ^ this.

  • Actually buying tracksmith in EU is apparently a daft idea. The harrier long sleeve is 95 USD, which converts to 85 EUR, but to buy in EUR is 125. I’ll wait til I find myself in North America to buy some!

  • I have some Vinted/ebay bits.

They’re nice but zero chance of ever pay retail for it definitely not value.

  • Wasn't Luke Scheybeler (co-founder of Rapha) involved in Tracksmith?

  • Tracksmith looks great in an retro stylish kinda way and feels lux - Rapha is the perfect comparison. But the tech just isn’t there: in my experience they’re made of basic-feeling fabrics (nice to sit around in; terrible for performance) and designed in a way that doesn’t seem to have much running wisdom involved.

I’ve got a load of their stuff cos I’m a poser, but I always wear my Ronhill shorts that cost 1/5 of the price instead because they don’t chafe or get heavy when sweaty, or lose their drawstring every time they go in the wash.

The best brand I have found for cool high-end running kit is Soar. There’s a reason all the running clubs use their race singlets.

  • Soar ... There’s a reason all the running clubs use their race singlets.

My club has gone with Ronhill Ultralight or something at £55 a vest.

  • Port Talbot also use the Ronhill, it's called featherwieght (44g)

  • It'd better make me 10% faster.
