Definitely just need to flip that piece round. I just did exactly that on a friend's kickr whose bike kept coming loose while riding- turned out he'd been bending his (carbon) stays in to make a 135 rear end fit 130. Glad I figured it out before he broke his frame. Flipping the pictured piece round sorted it out instantly.
On a direct drive trainer, there's usually a wider end cap you can swap out on the non-drive side
This end cap will be in that little bag you put somewhere safe
