Not for coffee directly, but with all the research/findings about plastic leeching into food/water especially at higher temperatures, I try and avoid it as much as possible (and most metal kettles will have a clear plastic window to show the fill volume)
I've settled for a metal funnel, and called it a day.
Also, for Clever Dripper related brewing, is there a reason why people don't just immersion brew in something else (mixing jug etc), and then pour through their filter of choice once the extraction is at the point you want?
Get a Hario Switch instead. Glass. Superior design anyway imo. Easier to mix both immersion and percolation by just flicking a switch instead of having to remove and replace the whole brewer from a cup.
