For anyone who missed the Lidl temperature control kettle, Lakeland now doing the same base with a slightly different lid configuration. Obviously it's not your fancy swan knecked pour over jobbie, but for £40 and Glass in contact with the boiling water, it's a pretty solid bet
Not for coffee directly, but with all the research/findings about plastic leeching into food/water especially at higher temperatures, I try and avoid it as much as possible (and most metal kettles will have a clear plastic window to show the fill volume)
