I’m sure Keir is super happy this is the news right now, he’s not had to say a single thing about Israels latest war crimes which seems to be what he most wants to avoid.
Meanwhile, they're refusing a press pass to the conference for a journalist who did a story on pro-Israel lobby groups, and their influence on Labour

I googled (well Duck Duck Goed) John McEvoy, the "journalist" who was barred.
Every hit on the first page of results was this story, nothing that he'd actually written.

I think this is where I see the difference between doing up a flat.
But ultimately once you're in power then you're not really paying for much other stuff any more are you? So I think it's just a cost of the job.

If you need more money to do the job, then increase the salary.
Have they learned nothing from the expenses scandal? This stuff needs to be transparent. Accepting 'gifts' is, at best, very stupid. There's no way this would be allowed in a normal business context.

I hope that Labour sort all these issues out soon. They have a huge task in turning the country round and making peoples' lives better. But what a piss poor start! Taking loads of freebies and then ending the WFA. Is there no one in the govt capable of any critical thinking?

seriously feel like we’re just in the foothills of this stuff

Speaking of clothing allowances, I have realised that I have left my only suit at the dry cleaners and I have a 7.30 am train to Liverpool for the Labour party conference tomorrow.

Nigel Farage is the only beneficiary of this in the long term.
