  • Valencia does vegan πŸ‘

  • Antwerp or Ghent.

  • Antwerp

    Lovely place, very underrated.

  • Granada or Seville

  • Thanks for the suggestions! I think Barcelona is top of the list at the moment.

  • Zip your pockets.

  • Any left field suggestions?

Time was, I'd have said Addis Ababa (Ethiopia is incredibly vegan friendly) but these days it's so unsafe it's out-field. So...

Poland. Seriously. Krakow is beautiful (and there are other good choices) and Poland is definitely "relatively inexpensive" by European standards..

  • After getting home and having a look, the rubber strips that came with the roof bars are like this so can't be pushed down like the BMW video suggests. I'll need to find another solution!

  • Seville.

You might want to research vegan. But 10yrs ago it was fine for veggies. We really loved it. Hot. Lovely river. Compact. Loads of interesting history and art stuff. Up there as one of the best city break spots Imo, very underrated.

Granada is another good shout. Colder (but not cold in the day). More alternative vibe, so probably better odds of vegan. Again lots of cool stuff. Probably a bit noisier over the weekend you you might want to double check accommodation location for that sort of thing.

Both really good value, beautiful, and a good change from UK grimness.

Edit: misread your previous post. If you haven't been to Barcelona, then you definitely should. More expensive than the above, but probably ahead in a list of which to see.

  • If you can reaaaaaaalllly stretch it (more like a week I think) get the ferry to bilbao.

  • And then tell me how manageable it is.

  • A vote for Ghent though. It’s quiet, it’s got some lovely stuff, a bonkers wallpaper shop, and beers.

    Also a decent techno club.

  • Poland

Is that part of the world safe weather wise at the moment? Personally I'd be heading south in Oct.

  • Is that part of the world safe weather wise at the moment?

It's not Siberia. The North East border would be getting a bit nippy but Krakow's down South and would only be marginally colder than Bruges or London. Not the place for a determined sun-seeker, sure.

  • Having been to both a few times I'd much favour Valencia over Barcelona.

I'd also say Budapest which my Hungarian friend says is pretty vegan friendly .

  • Come find me in Iceland where I'll be for my 40th, I know there are at least 2 vegan places in Reykjavik.

  • I meant all the storms and flooding.

  • I'd also say Budapest which my Hungarian friend says is pretty vegan friendly .

That's good to hear. It's years since I been and we must of eating 70% of our meals in one restaurant πŸ˜‚

It was definitely the moment I started adding availability of veggie options to our criteria.

  • Bless you

  • Granada

  • possibly one of the most boring Spanish cities, but yes, lots of high quality vegan places to eat.

  • most boring Spanish cities

I quite like it. I've had a better time than in Madrid
