  • this is just superb dude. can’t help with transportation shouts. but awesomeness if you get this

  • I was chatting to this guy about moving something but did it myself in the end. He’s been used by a few other local people, quick on the messages and was happy to do something next-day but wasn’t coming up particularly cheap.

  • I’ve had 4 of them in the past - would get one of these if I got it and strap the Moulton on top of it

  • Oh no, you only got this (997) recently didn’t you, what needed fixing hope nothing serious…

  • Many thanks for the link 👍

  • Yeah, got it back in July - the high pressure fuel pump died a few weeks ago and also sprang a coolant leak from the crossover pipes….

  • Bummers, I had a fuelling issue with my 996 luckily it was only the relay that needed replacing. Hope it’s not too painful.

Been getting round some small jobs, next is adding the vacuum pipes/electrics and remote for the sports exhaust - it came with a Valvetronic switchable exhaust but without the whole kit for some reason. It sounds immense (valves always open) but would be handy to be able to tone it down sometimes. Also been doing some jet washing underneath (looks good) then MOT soonish 🤞

  • NICE! Strange it’s not been taxed since 1997 and it’s not on the mot database. Not saying it’s wrong, just strange as you still have to tax classics even if it is free.

  • Can you check that the v5 has been changed to historic status.

  • I know what you mean, something feels a bit “not quite right “. Seller says he got it off an old chap who stored it since 97 or so but wants to move it on. Said he’s had it for 4 months… I wondered why it isn’t taxed especially as it’s on the street. Perhaps I’ll pass as it could be a right headache and an empty wallet!

  • But it’s so beautiful!

  • Want me to go look at it?

  • It doesn’t show that, but as it’s not been taxed for xx years that’s not odd. The change to classic status only happens when you tax it for the first time, obviously that’s never happened.

  • Looking at it again I’d say it looks like it’ll been fine. If it’s someone’s first classic it’s not uncommon for them not to realise what to do about tax and mot status. I wouldn’t worry about it. The not used in getting on for 20 years is the bigger problem.
    But man it is cool…

  • This was down the pub last night, so clean.

  • Hey there, I already have a kind offer but If it falls through I’ll let you know👍

  • Tiz a lovely looking car - apparently it was running 12 months ago but not being driven. Suspension “was working” !

  • Unexpected little muscle car show down at Redcliffe waterfront this morning, I only caught it because I was picking up my inhaler from the chemist (pictured in the background). This XB was the highlight for me, dream car.

  • I totally agree with you! 💪💛

  • Zoomed in and everything, can’t see an inhaler, only a pair of see through trews

  • Duh, it's in my pocket.

  • The inhaler.

  • Found this on a recent bike packing trip parked in a drive at house in the middle of nowhere. Asked if I could take a picture as a fan of French cars and was invited for a beer in the garden, sweet, sweet guy.

Never seen a Safari real life. It was an awesome thing, massive! CX engine too.
