  • Glad you liked it - we keep saying we should go back

  • Where's a fancy place with a really good veggie menu that's not going to be stacked full of earthy flavours in winter or full of whatever fake meat people are eating now?

Somewhere like the Connaught but not as expensive would be idea.

    Cheers.

  • Gymkhana, Trishna, Amaya all do good vegetarian tasting menus

  • Went to Oma a few weeks back, great vegetarian options. Definitely get the spanakopita and breads, I'd be tempted to say order two it's that good.

  • Amazing. Thanks x

  • Cheers all RE: Porto. All booked in now, slowly starting to pin places on the map

  • Any pre-theatre set menu recommendations between Holborn and Covent Garden tube stations?

  • Any recommendations for Derry? Fish or vegetarian if possible.

  • Ok team. Very old school request. Where’s good in Covent Garden these days? Anniversary meal, so spendy but not outrageous?

  • Frog, Barbary, Lahphet, j sheekey, barrafina

I haven’t been to Stories downstairs but it’s supposed to be good

  • Does it have to be Covent Garden?

  • Are here yesterday, was decent!

  • Well. Within 15/20 mins walk of Charing X. I’m taking the other half to the AIRE Roman Spa just behind the Savoy for a 2 year wedding anniversary, she loves a spa, so ideally fairly close to that!

  • Wasn't hugely impressed by Frog earlier in the year. I mean, the food was exquisite, the service impeccable, but it just left me a bit cold. I'm not sure I can remember a single dish, although I know they were lovely. (And it was definitely heading towards the outrageous side of spendy, even though I wasn't even seeing the bill.)

  • Anything reasonably fancy near dalston kingsland? (Non mangal II edition)

  • Can’t think of anything fancy. Never been but always wondered what this place is like.

House of MoMo is great (definitely not fancy).

  • Parsons is good if you like seafood.

  • We don’t do fancy round these parts.

Oren is good, underrated I think. Little Duck Picklery, Angelina, various natty wine bars that do small food: Dans, Hectors. Down the road a bit there’s a strip with Mu, Pamela. Acme Fire Cult is good too. Jones & Sons off Gilet Square. Up the road Corrochios just opened a bigger dining room. Not fancy but excellent Mexican.

  • Awesome thanks. Did Angelina a few years back and really enjoyed it, though some combinations were a bit batty. Might just go Pizza Union after all.

  • As an aside these all look fancy enough by my standards

  • For non-fancy I'd go Corrochios for fun, Little Duck for intimate

  • Corrochios is banging, mexican chef with proper menu. Haven't been posted in golf club for a while so I'll drop that I know the owner and he's a good guy so give him your money 😂
