Former Aston Villa striker Gary Shaw. 63, died from injuries sustained in a fall.
Part of the great early 80’s 1st division league title and European Cup winning team. -

Yeah saw that. I remember his production work for That Petrol Emotion and The The. And his work with Swans too.

Italian super-striker from Italia’90 Salvatore Schillaci. 59 ffs.
-
• #11109
I was 7 during Italia 90, you'd still get people screaming 'Schillaci!' as they rifled one home in the playground when I was doing my A levels.
An absolute hero to a whole generation of kids, can't ask to leave a better mark than that.

Shaw, then Schillaci. The game has lost a couple of proper icons.

Perhaps meaningful only for those who have had dealings with BC over the years, I am hearing that Paul West has passed away whilst on a cycling trip in France. He will be missed. RIP Paul.

What a life he had. I grew up with a lot of his music being played in the house, as my mum is a big fan of his and Johnny Cash's. About 25 years ago I was at a friend's wedding in the US, and his niece was there. She was surprised that a) anyone in England knew who he was and b) that someone knew him more for his music than his acting.
Twice in five days, he's had no luck.
