RRA Records - ie. LEJOG Record Attempts

She is indeed and its great to see supporters coming out up the country as she presses on .
Fourth bridge then a9 overnight.

Unfortunately she’s had to call off her attempt. Torrential rain and low temperatures overnight have taken their toll, and her and her support team have taken the decision to stop at Dornoch Bridge.

Lee Williams is attempting the ‘Side to Side’ record from Pembroke Dock to Great Yarmouth today.

Good chunk off that. Was in my todo list from a few years ago.

You should definitely have a crack at a RRA, I think you've a great chance of beating one.

I've been a member since they Mersey lot convinced me to have a crack at LEJOG after the 24hr but I don't think records do it for me and I don't even race the TT bike nowadays so it's not likely. I did a bunch of recces of the club point to point record (Willesden Aylesbury Willesden) that was going to be a warmup for a 'proper' RRA event but the motivation petered out.

Every time someone breaks one though, I tend to go back and have a look at what I might do. More interested in riding off-road these days (TD on bucket list). Still got the Shiv though...

Two ladies from liverpool braveheart are currently smashing the record and up at helmsdale right now on 67 hours elapsed time .

RRA website doesn't have a current record for women's tandem. I wonder if there's one and the site's old or if it's the standard they're up on, in which case they'll set the first record?
