  • Looking for some advice, being given the run around by Dolan on a bike I ordered on C2W July 8th with what was a 20 working day lead time > 30 working days > We don't know when we may have a frame from the factory.

They've given me a loaner in the interim which I must admit I thought was quite good customer service but that was over a month ago and zero comms that I haven't pestered them for.

Not looking to go down this route but I wondered if anyone had had any issues akin to this with supply chain shite leading to cancellation? Plus side is I've paid off 3/12 payments already but not the experience I was hoping for.

EDIT: just heard back from them via email, now looking at November.

  • Doesn't sound ideal! Not sure what the technically right answer is, I guess Dolan maybe shouldn't have 'cashed' the voucher/your deductions shouldn't have started until they were in a position to supply your bike?

Do you actually want to cancel and get a new voucher/buy a bike from elsewhere? How good is the loaner bike?

  • Yeah not ideal is about it. I don't particularly want to cancel the order, doubt I'd get that much for my money elsewhere. The loaner is the alu version (GXA) or the carbon one ordered (GXC) so I mean it's a close as it could be which is great.

I'll try and get someone on the phone later today and see what else they can do. I mean ideally a 2nd wheel set or just a cassette wouldn't cost them much and certainly make the situation a bit better.

I think the root of my post here was my concern as this delay could persist indefinitely and leave me in a position where I at least have a bike, but not the one I'm paying for.
