  • I am placing an order with Larry vs Harry if anyone needs any accessories or anything small please let me know, ideally in the next 24 hours

  • I went and had a test ride on one at Paradise cycles.

The the that threw me the most wasn't the handling, but the stationary rack (I'm so used to my rack turning with he bars).

Alas Omnium have decided to stop making the mini in XL size so I'm out

  • Moving!

I'll have to hire a zipvan type thing for the big furniture but I'm hoping to do nearly all of it by bike I've this week and next.

  • Omnium have decided to stop making the mini in XL size

    That's not true.

Also there a handful of Blurple XLs available to order right now.

  • I hope it isn't true as I definitely don't want blurple 🤣

  • @Lolo litterally works at Omnium HQ

  • Excellent! Thank you

@Lolo do you know when you will be making a new batch of Minis in size XL in any colour other than blurple so I can order through the shop that told me there would be no more

  • I got mine from paradise cycles and would recommend them

  • Anyone ridden the Bombtrack Munroe Cargo?

If the frameset price is similar to what it is in the EU I'm tempted by one as a new commute bike

  • Hey dude, Louis from Paradise Cycles here! Thinking back I probably did phrase it ambiguously. I believe I said, in relation to Omnium's 'future stock' page that there were, no plans for any Mini XLs in the works. Apologies if I gave you the wrong end of the stick!

As @MisterMikkel has said, @Lolo is best placed to say when more might arrive. We are more than happy to take a pre-order whenever.

Also, thanks for the shout out @n3il!!

  • Ah ok, thanks for the clarification Louis.

    Apologies everyone!

  • The the that threw me the most wasn't the handling, but the stationary rack

You get used to this very quickly. You have to be slightly more careful cutting through traffic but its so worth it for how much you can load it up without ruining the handling. I love my Mini (also bought from Paradise) as do many others on here, they're such great little bikes

  • @fly (hi there :-) gave you the correct info, there's no Mini XLs in the future stock i.e. they're not on their way / available to dealers for pre-order. There's no ETA for the next batch yet, sorry!

Are you sure you can't be tempted with a Blurple?

  • Yes, I've been running one as my commuter for the past 2.5ish years. Overall really happy with it, handling gets rather nervous with a lot of weight added to the front (to be expected, although a bit more than with an Omnium Mini).

  • Nice. Where did you get it from? Trying to find details in the UK is tricky.

I'd never put lots of weight on the front, I've got a big cargo bike for that. I just want something to carry all my work bits and remote control cars in.

    Got any pics of it?

  • I'm looking for a raincover that will fit a bakfiets long - am I best off taking my chances on the customs, inevitable delays, etc ordering from Europe (is this Kidscab one legit?or is there somewhere in the UK to get reasonably? They are £442 from London Green Cycles, which seems a bit excessive!
Would be very happy for a used one, but they don't seem to come up on ebay... or a DIY job if it actually fits and is waterproof...

  • Bike parka cargo, they've gone up in price since I bought one but they're still only 85 quid.

  • Think he’s looking for the rain tent on the box not a bike cover. (Based on the links)

  • Ah yes, that would make sense, i should probably click the links before replying. 450 quid for a bike cover did seem a bit spicy.

  • Yes, exactly - should have clarified that! I've decided to try to bodge something from a Babboe rain tent which was on ebay for £39... will be too small, but I can figure something out to make it work I reckon

  • I'm not sure if the kids cab one is legit (I'd guess it is as you can pay with PayPal) but there are plenty of Dutch and Belgian sites that have canopies for loads of cargo bikes for way better prices than the UK. Whether you can get it sent to the UK without a massive customs charge is another.

  • They frequently appear cheaply on http://www.kleinanzeigen.de, maybe someone there will be a hommie and ship. RE the Babboe rain tent the box is 99x64cm vs 100x63cm for the bakfiets long (based on internet. But the rounded edges of the babboe box may mess things up. Im working on puttiong an Urban arrow tent on my wifes bullitt (she abandoned the idea over the summer but is keen now that its raining again.)

  • Deathtrap I spotted earlier
