Just spotted this - really like it. Our current house had something more basic over the bins supporting a green roof, but the roof could not drain - it was a tub lined with heavy duty polythene sheet. It filled up with cold rainwater and all the plants rotted, especially bulbs. It had to be taken down to put new windows in, so am meaning to get around to putting it back and have been thinking about drainage for the new one. Is this something you've anticipated with this?
Finally got this finished. Been a bit of a labour of love fitting it around work/child care etc.
Dug down 300-450mm to level the ground with previous path
Built a low retaining wall and small raised planter with reclaimed bricks
Laid sandstone slabs
Laid new mosaic path
Built the storage using mostly materials I had left over from building my garden studio during lockdown, only needed some new cladding for the front area which I'm hoping will age to match the sides/back.
The bike storage area to the left has my fixed and mtb, child seat, locks and pumps etc. There's probably enough space left for another adult bike or kid's bike and brompton.
Bin store to the right is for 2 wheelies.
