Seriously... The home office with "give us unreasonable proof" strikes again. See also lgtqb+ refugees.
-
• #90153
It all sounds a bit dodgy, some of this is caused by the UK government not giving H&W the ship refit order.
But other things on financial health and loans(see old bel tel articles) sound iffy.

Though the others cat b and c would but would he be on a register for life?
-
• #90155
I thought the government had committed to build 3 RN supply ships there?
H&W also went off piste, by trying to start a rival ferry service between Penzance and the Scilly Isles, not just building the ship, but also running the service. The service was cancelled the week it was due to start.

Even with the b and c images he’s not close to being a prolific offender - they can be in the thousands of A&B images.
Seven years on the register doesn’t seem much but a bit moot in his case. -
• #90157
This case gives the media a good excuse to say how common this perversion is and to ask how did we get here and wtf can be done. But they'd rather focus on titillating details of a single offender. Same story when a woman or child is assaulted. Everyone carries on as if the offender is unusual. Let's pretend there are not millions of men with these urges. They're so common that you can't even say they're abnormal.
-
• #90158
Probably because if there are millions it's too late to do anything, a bit like religion.

Google is returning increasingly poor results
Their AI results at the top of the page have driven me so mad that I've switched to Startpage.com. It uses the Google back end. It's Google as it was at first, before they enshitted it. I had to faff around with Chrome settings a bit (with Win 11) but it's great now. New Tab is such a relief. I hadn't realised how much stress I was getting from fucked up search results. It's like the good old days, before the tech bro billionaires ruined the internet.

I just use DuckDuckGo. It’s shit but it’s always been shit so I just live in a world where anything I search will likely return some weird porn and roll with it.

You are right, my mistake that order is still on. 3 other ship jobs went to Spain.
That ferry idea is very strange, totally not their core business.

Home office u turns on ridiculous refusal of family unification visa after guardian report.

This is pretty wild if true:
The Reuters news agency has been told by sources that dozens of members of Hezbollah were seriously injured today in Lebanon’s south, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, when the pagers they use to communicate exploded.
A Reuters journalist saw 10 Hezbollah members bleeding from wounds in the southern suburb of Beirut known as Dahiyeh
-
• #90164
Madness, that’s like something out of a film? Wouldn’t an explosive charge be needed in the pagers? Is it even conceivable that some super spy organisation managed to tamper with an order of 2000 pagers so that Hezbollah were inadvertently walking around with mini remote controlled bombs attached to their waists??? Too crazy…

mossad love an elaborate assassination.
Wasn't there one where they built a special crazy long range gun that they'd smuggled in peices over a ridiculous amount of time?
Edit
Iran Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was the senior official in the nuclear program of Iran. Killed with a one-ton self-destructing gun in a truck smuggled into Iran by 20 agents.

• #90166
Yeah, with live video feed and remote control!

Apparently it's over a thousand injured, as opposed to the hundreds reported here:

• #90168
The exploding pagers fucking hell , what about all the mobile phones? Smart watches? Not a bad idea tbh , bit like covid

Or you just pay a CHIS in the organisation to ensure that all the pager are ordered via one supplier, in the pay of Mossad, and send them mini bombs
-
• #90171
CHIS
It's got a bit AC-12 in here

I think it's just more likely that they recently took out a contract with Virgin Media.

what's going on over there in northern ireland? seems like it is becoming a place where people of colour can't live - or is this being reported disproportionately?
Not really a wow, he was never going to get imprisonment for six or seven Cat A images despite the media furore.
