Can you explain to me in plain English what the difference is? The chap I’ve been talking to at a supplier said hydro is mr MDF with a denser layer on each side. When you leave it in light it fades less. But if you oil mr MDF it becomes darker, but then fades back to factory after awhile, rinse and repeat. Is he bullshitting me to get a sale? Ultimately you will only see one end of each run and a few bits of each cubby/shelf. I’m over thinking this aren’t I¿

In short, it sounds like you've got it, being moisture resistant has no real relevant factor for its use and especially as you're sealing it.. even a small amount of work is a lot of faff - there in using the material you want (and finishing product) will make it worthwhile
