Joining the Foz chat, loved my SG9 until the wishbone disintegrated and put me into a wall (slowly thankfully). 2.5 had it remapped and went like stink. Grabbed these wheels cheap that had a set of winter tyres on them and it was unstoppable (stock suspension, plenty of gappage).

I think the bike goes on top. Kids (plural) will fit if one is happy going in the boot but I was hoping more for one at a time really.

Erm This is not a Honda Jazz / Skoda Estate. Are the kids in boarding school now?

You mean the struggles of navigating the day-to-day with kids doesn’t leave you with a massive mental void that you aren’t quite sure how to fill? I was certain this was the middle-age cry-for-help thread.

No that’s the dog thread.

Also why do you have a hybrid on your mid life crisis car?
-
• #80333
Shit I should have got a puppy. That’s someone else’s pic/car obvs.

Still time. Dog would fit in that car perfectly.
“Fuck you guys I’m off to shoot some birds!!” -

Bike to car price ratio is all wrong.

Absolutely loved my Forester. 2.5 XT build by Andy Foresters engine bloke. Absolutely flew and made all the right wub wub noises.

Does the forester actually handle well? Because my outback handles like a boat.
-

Mine handles okay, at least better than my XV did, less body roll but it is lower to the ground. That would be the main reason for a two inch drop for me, so it's easier to throw around corners.

If you get coil overs then you can choose your ride height, and it won’t impact your available suspension travel. It will affect geometry if a) you go quite far and b) don’t then take steps to correct it, but if you do a and b together then you haven’t got a problem (other than a big hole in the new guitar fund).

Doesn’t sound right - my gen4 legacy used to handle very well - much better than the 5 series that I replaced it with

Outback not legacy eh. Bit higher. It's also on off-road tyres which doesn't help.

i remember the outbacks handling ok - not exactly crisp but held the road well and the 4WD helped to keep things pointing in the right direction.

Any idea why the grand tour is finishing. Still feels like there’s life left in the show.

Ha I'm internet friends with the first fiat, were there any jolly club lancias there?

Was that cunt Jay Kay mincing about this year?
I'd forgotten it was on and I was working nights Friday and Saturday so it wouldn't have worked for me.
In other Subaru news... Sean Casey's storm chasing Outback. I really love the Outback, I wish I'd got one, I had the opportunity but didn't wanna splash the extra cash when I got my XV/Crosstrek.
