  • Found a Triban unlocked on blackstock road last night, not sure if stolen and dumped or just someone in a rush. Seems not to be registered, trying to find the owner. Will put a sign up at the location as well

  • Last night 10th September I had my blue and orange road bike (pic attached) stolen from a cycle stand outside the Horseshoe Inn near London Bridge Station. It happened between 6pm and 8:30pm. Please keep an eye out. Thanks

  • Last night someone stole my saddle and metal seat. I have no idea why anyone would want it, but please keep an eye out.

  • Saw a suspicious guy looking at bikes at the Highbury Corner bike racks at 11:30am on Monday 16th - then as I walked up Highbury Place he passed me in Highbury Fields cycling north with a Triban/Boardman minus front wheel over his shoulder. The bike was generic, silver/grey, but had distinctive yellow bar tape and a yellow flash on the rims.

He was riding a generic black road bike and would have been about 6ft. What struck me was how cocky and confident he looked taking the bike. There were loads of people around. He went up Church Path and then the last I saw of him was near the clock at Highbury Hill.

I was walking past Highbury Corner again on Monday evening with my other half, and there was an upset woman by the bike racks called Kate, whose bike it was that had been stolen today. She has unlocked and taken her front wheel home and would like her bike back. We exchanged details on the off chance that someone sees the bike.

Can everyone keep an eye out in Highbury/Finsbury Park area and on Gumtree/FB Marketplace?

  • There has been a break-in at my house and I have had x3 bikes stolen as follows:

Large Swnnterton I was planning in using for my Winter Commutes:

    Please keep an eye out.

  • Fuck.

Shall people go to brick lane, new cov garden market and the one on white hart lane wood green end to have a look?

  • Sucks. Sorry to hear that.

  • I got my bike stolen from our building Tuesday night, Hoxton area. It’s a unique bike super recognisable, bespoke Martini racing paint job. Please let me know if you see it around. Thank you

  • Not valuable but my tatty old Burley bike trailer was stolen last Tuesday from the front garden.

I've since seen it being ridden around the Stratford area with the cover removed and the seating ripped out. It's the same guy who has appeared on all the Ring doorbell footage from a string of recent thefts in the area. It looks like he's now using it to cart around stolen stuff, but his target area looks like it has just expanded.

Just a reminder basically not to leave parcels etc on doorsteps Stratford/Forest Gate area, and keep bikes locked really securely if outside. He managed to steal a bike by forcing the railings out of the front wall from a neighbour's house too and lead off the roof of another neighbour.

  • I saw a Burley trailer (I think) abandoned on one of the little streets opposite Lee Valley Velodrome on Monday. I assumed it belonged to someone who lived down there but maybe not! It was on Brewers Lane I believe. Might be worth popping by for a look?

  • Interesting, with or without its yellow cover?

  • No cover! I'm not certain it was a Burley tbh, I didn't get a proper look (and my memory is appalling anyway). Sorry, that's not much to go on is it?

  • Sounds very much like it, last time it was seen was Friday night, last time I saw it Friday afternoon.

  • If you can make it down to Croydon on a weekday I can offer a free used trailer and hitch

  • That's extremely kind and very Forum, but a neighbour has donated an old Halfords trailer which is just fine for us. Thank you though.

  • :) sweet

  • Cinelli spotted in Leytonstone today. One of the local crackheads has it:

  • I'm really sorry to hear that!! That Bob Jackson, actually all your bikes, are real beauties.

I realise you already know this, but just a reminder to keep an eye out on gumtree. I found someone's (didn't know him) lovely 70s Bob that way by chance, simply because I had seen a posting of the bike as stolen on insta. The police got involved and actually did a very good job. The owner left the police with the thief and cycled off with his bike.

Anyway, just to encourage everyone here to check gumtree daily.

  • THATS MY MATES BIKE, I BUILT THAT! It was stolen from his back garden.

Where exactly in Leytonstone? Can you describe said local crackhead?

  • I know I raised an eyebrow at someone riding one of these the other day, but sorry to say can’t remember exactly where or why.

  • Hi all - pashley butchers bike (without the basket) stolen from the racks at Euston station outside M&S…

Has an electric motor on the BB and a large battery on the down tube.

    Stolen between 9am and 6pm today (08.10)

    Looks like this
