Leave the brake on over night, with battery off of course.

Yeah, and this is why I always do my own servicing within reason. Too many experiences over the years of being unhappy afterwards at how much I've ended up paying for things.
Another pet peeve of mine on invoice like that is how they charge the labour. There should be an hourly rate and then they charge you for how many hours were taken. Instead on your invoice there's 75 quid for the oil service, and 113 quid for the other bits. I always hate getting an invoice like that.

Although I gave up changing my own oil years ago, well worth paying someone given the time required, mess, safe journey used oil disposal.

Some nice cars on whiteladies road tonight in Bristol. One is Chris Harris' 911 which I see often. Mentioned the NSX with the perfect plate to him as I passed. Absolute belter

Nice :). Always wanted an NSX, was meant to look like an aircraft cockpit Iirc
Whiteladies Road looks a bit different from when I worked at the BRI 1985 lol

So nice. pre-facelift with the pop-up headlights is definitely the best.

Reading this, I feel a lot better about my mate charging £160 for oil, oil filter, cabin filter and MOT.

I got the part thanks mate but it's not on the car yet 😂 it hasn't needed it. Whatever codes the garage cleared with their grown up commercial grade code reader seemed to have kicked the can down the round long enough

Hell yeah brother

That is cheap.

Well at least you've got it now. And you know where to get spare parts in the future! 😉
I've always thought the wheels on my Forester looked a bit small. Got a call from the tyre place this morning, the lad I've been dealing with is a Subaru fan and he went home last night and checked what tyres came on the car originally. True enough, they're bigger! No Pilot Sport 4s in that size so going with Bridgestone Potenza instead. So. Much. Grip.
Also priced some DBA performance 'street' rotors and pads at Repco, around A$500 for the front. They didn't sell braided lines tho'.
Bikes are cheaper. Guitars are too!

Look at wezmoto lines here in the UK, they are HEL bits and come with plastic outers and stainless steel ends with the colour of you choice.
See how the price compares to Aus, and do the whole brake system not just the front.

HEL brake lines, sandgate qld

Honestly though, fresh open lines are probably fine too.
Which potenza did you get? Sport or RE003?

Ooh, just over the bridge from me, I'll take a look. They're right next to where I take my empty bottles and cans for recycling.
I got the RE003, pretty cheap in my size. On reflection, Bridgestone seems more appropriate than Michelin on a JDM shitbox.

Wezmoto are HEL lines! Bought a few sets for motorbikes and the infill rubbers are marked HEL.
Nice people to deal with as I wanted longer than standard lines and there was no issue or charge.
-
• #80267
Yeah those re003 are pretty good. I used to run them on my 306. The outside shoulder will wear fast though.
-
• #80268
Yeah, they are but HEL are a touch more local and also very affordable.
-
• #80269
Yeah, he said wear is an issue if you drive them hard but I'm no Ayrton so they should be fine for an old slowcoach like me.

Not trying hard enough

I've definitely had my moments in both those particular areas. 😋

DBA
so close!

It's a different car, looks so good with the right rims and tyres on it. So happy. Not fussed about lowering it at the moment, love it as it is.

Quick photoshop with the car sitting 50mm lower?
It's a minefield, so many choices!
