She toilets outside and I did think the same as you. But she hasn't been away for any protracted period in the past weeks. She is very shy.
Re cats in the area. There are a lot and one neighbour has a very large older cat which may have 'bullied' ours recently - I keep saying she is timid but she really is. She cowers when other cats are about. But there's no new cats around that I have spotted.
We have tried to be around for her to reduce whatever stress she has but she is acting oddly.
She wasn't keen on a dreamy liquid treat last night and that NEVER happens.
Vet on Monday if things don't improve but that will be a very stressful journey too - it's not pleasant at all.

I usually phone our vets with questions like this. They've been happy to give out free advice whether or not we need an appointment. For ours it has usually been if they're not eating or drinking normally and also not acting themselves, bring them in to get checked
