EBay, Kibble watches had a couple with date (Visodate) previously. They are not as common as Seamasters but way cheaper and according to some accounts Tissot’s quality was on a par with Omega’s at that point

Yea I’m not a fan of date complications because it’s unlikely to be worn enough to stay correct.

I quite like my manual Seastar. May be the case shape but it wears better than the Omegas I’ve owned and sold on. Like you say, a fraction of the price.
