  • I dunno about that - I agree that most will still go over RRP but if you buy get then I think you will struggle to get your money back (and that’s before taking inhalation into account).   • That’s what a correction looks like. I’m talking about buying at retail. Steel Rolex is pretty much the only thing that has, over time, consistently demonstrated that it can hold its value from new and it’s still doing that.

    Speculation / investment / hype stuff is a totally separate discussion. I wouldn’t get involved in any of that, especially in the current market conditions.

  • Completely agree, the only problem is the impossibility of buying a steel Rolex at RRP - which means for most peeps that they have to buy grey if they want one, making them subject to the corrections/market forces regardless of their reason for getting it in the first place. It’s definitely a good thing all the grey prices are coming down as hopefully means less and less scalpers out there.
