Funny thing it’s kind of working for me out here on the prairies. This is not a particularly progressive city (pop. about 750000) and intown speed limits vary from 30 to 80 kph, yet people seem to generally respect, if not always see, me. My little Vespa is capable of about 65 so 60kph roads are my limit, which is really no limit at all if you’re not interested in exurbs, which I am definitely not.

Do not want to argue with you. But you aren't in the arsehole motorcar world of the UK.
From driving in London, wandering along at 20 seems to cause lots of other car drivers to be really pissed off. All as I can't be fucked to race to a red light.
My experience of Italy is out of date, but I liked riding 2 stroke 50cc bikes such as ciaos and si. Like a cycle but with a bit more fun. As many people rode mopeds you were more visible so people gave you space and looked for you. But 50cc were transport when you are 14 so much more part of normal life.

What’s the speed limit when you’re going 20 (mph?)
Whenever I’ve been over there almost all my experience has been with walking or public transit. -
• #26105
Ah sorry lots of London is 20mph so I go at 20 or less. Slower when there are speed humps as I don't want to do the brake accelerate over speed humps.

Speed limit in Italy is basically Vmax for any given vehicle, from what I used to see…
-

Tbh I used mine in London no bother, it’s just about taking the space as I’ve always felt with motorbikes fast or slow.
But I get what you mean, because the Zoomer’s do 35/40 with a wee mod it was always fine

Speed limit don’t exist in Italy, well for my uncle that’s for sure.

They have speed cameras
-
• #26110
Ah right, wasn’t like that when I was zooming about 😉

My uncle was caught by one. Years ago.

Popped up the M1 to Leicester and back a couple of weeks ago. The riding position is surprisingly comfortable (compared to my 748), a couple of days worth of clothes in the bag that you hardly notice is there, no sore shoulders or wrists, nice experience. Fun playing around with the quick-shifter, but just mental acceleration in any gear. Starting to crave a trip to France...

I have these two helmets going
Both never dropped or crashed
Some scrapes to both from storage/age etc
The Spada has no visor it flew off while riding (great engineering indeed) it’s a Large and free (Forum donation please)
The Shark is a lovely helmet, used condition with goggles that can be removed. It’s also a large and I’m after £60 for it, comes with the cloth bag
I’d rather not post these
Based in East London

It's a Kriega - cannot recommend highly enough, both the product and customer service. They will find a way to attach the bag to pretty much any bike. Four clips on and off, to straps that are hidden under the seat cowl when not in use. Different sizes and modular system, waterproof, expandable - best bags by a country mile - https://kriega.com/sports/touring

+1 for Kriega.
I know buying something for life or bullet proof is a bit of a cliché. Whether it's for life or not they really are excellent. I'm not using the bike much any more. But I bought mine when I got my first bike maybe 14yrs ago(?) and all the plastic and rubberised bits are still good. Still waterproof. Etc.
Depending on your setup I find the hook strap set a really handy addition as I can leave the female straps on my bike.

Can we say forum approved?
I had (yeah two shits) the smaller tail pack and found it so good I bought the bigger (medium) sized tail pack for weekends away along with a tank bag.

I've had a Kreiga for 12 years and it's pulled apart at some zip seams so I'm not sure it's a lifetime purchase!

Give them a call/email. Found the customer service to be top notch.
Like the idea of a 50cc but the limited in the UK gives me the fear. Less than cycling does, mainly arseholes in cars and scooters.
Sad moment in life. In Italy/France/Spain I would not give them a second thought.
