  • Fuck me, Aston Martin Cygnets ain't cheap. Why? So Sloanes who've passed their test can roll around Kensington in something other than a Mini?

  • I've never seen one of those, it's tarted up Toyota IQ? That's a pretty hefty markup to pay for one.

  • Used to have one parked outside my old office, and yes, it's a luxury city car for people who can't abide being seen in a Toyota.

They made a very silly V8 version too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9N5s1z7-JnI

  • Pretty sure it was created just to bring down Aston Martin's overall co2 emissions

  • I just hired a Polestar 2 for when I’m back at Christmas- 17 days, £315 picked up and returned to Heathrow. Will be my first experience of an electric car.

  • That seems very cheap, I need to book a car for Spain next month, must get onto that.

  • It’s mental- a Fiat 500 was £300 more.

  • remarkably cheap - who with?

  • So, just to clarify... You're stamping on the brakes as hard as possible and the car is not locking up/going into ABS?

  • Yeah, but I was only going from a maximum of 60kph to a full stop, not very challenging conditions. I've been trying to figure out where would be a safe place to test them at high speed, probably on a highway exit. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has an excellent and very quiet off ramp, will probably go there on Friday and do a few highway loops.

  • So...garage check -
nothing wrong apart from tracking (which they don't do). Possible rattle could be the link rods.
What is this? Name new and interesting things to get done?

  • Drop links?

  • Yeah, I get that. But the things are selling for more than the asking price when new over a decade ago 🤷

  • They sold less than 150 of them in the UK. It doesn’t take many enthusiasts / collectors / people who actually want to drive one to push prices up with so few to go around.

  • Future classic ?

  • because it hertz!

  • Them too. I dunno. Probably?
Makes a noise when you go over a bump.

  • Drop links connect the anti roll bar to part of the suspension on each side- so every time the wheel articulates the drop link is what transfers the force to the anti roll bar. They’re a consumable, really, albeit they can last a fair while.

  • I've just looked at this and seen the price and NOT WEPT.

So, i'll sort out tracking and then get the drop links fitted.

  • I’d do it the other way round if it was me- or get them fitted by the place that is going to do the tracking.

  • Try not to get the cheap ones from gsf/ecp.

If there is a clunk, you may be able to feel the damaged drop. Or see damaged boot where water has got in.

  • The interior is very very nice.

Tho probably weighs twice what normal Toyota wieghs

  • Weelz, I haz.
