If you can deal with the looks, Ergons are a game changer. I've got some cork GP1s on my commuter and they're as comfortable as they are dorky.

Peak German design aka this is why I have them on all bikes

You can get leather egon grips.
You can also get non-locking ones. These ultimately rotate ime, so I'd go for locking ones.
Love that this place started with the antithesis to nodder hybrids, and now they are the de rigueur.

I'd like some Ergon GA3 if anyone has spare. I don't fancy the full 30 quid posted for grips

First basket, more useful than I'd realised.

Baskets are the best, it doesn't make sense to have a functional build without one!

I agree.

Is it only me feeling that the Ergon GA3's are super slippery when riding in rain? Or am I overlooking some detail of the German instructions?

Delighted I missed this on ebay and saved myself a lot of money

Hot! +1.
Imagine buying a G line when you could have something like that!

That was my reply under the Gline post on the Brompton thread. So good.

Good luck folding that.

What's the obsession with chalk bags attached to handle bars? Do ergons make you're hands sweat more than bar tape? Whatever happened to gloves?

Jelly baby bag.

Snacks, also handy place to pop your phone for quick photos
Do ergons make you're hands sweat more than bar tape?
A bit, never bothered me really
Whatever happened to gloves?
I still wear them...

That's an especially rad dale.
Ok I might try some lock-on brown leather grips, thanks
