I bought a couple yea. The Gothic is a monster but it’s a cheap way to score hardware. I put the entire hardware setup onto a Quasi pool deck.
My Gothic has rails and some different cruiser wheels.
Also, this is the OG: a Lush prototype pool/slide deck that is monster long.

Cheers - I have the Sucka wheels on a Heroin 10" Ditch Witch and they're not too bad, fancy a slightly smaller setup & if the trucks are decent it's a no brainer

I’m piss-weak as a skateboarder but I haven’t had any complaints with the trucks/setup. They come loose out the box so I tightened them down to avoid wheel bite but yea, trucks turn and they’re wide so job done.

Sounds good - I'm only really interested in cruising around bowls etc, still trying to regain my bottle dropping into small transitions and find some flow so light, fast flicky boards are not required

Even rolling down a small ramp gives me the heebies. Trucks/etc are stable enough for a wobbler like me. (Okay okay I have decades on flatland longboarding, but park etc I am shit).

Oh also the cinco looks like this:

I started again with longboards a few years ago & got the bug big time, ended up surf skate curious which led me back to skateparks & then traditional boards again, starting to really enjoy the wide pool / park setups now

Nice. I’ve not skated for the month since my birthday. I got weird pain in my toes like an impact injury after that session so giving it a long recovery time in the hope the pain goes away without dr visits.

Attempting a 360 flip, I managed to land on the board with one foot, and the wheel and the rest of my body weight landed on my big toe on the other foot… the toenail has been trying to leave for the last week and it’s not very nice.
Why is skating much more painful in your thirties!?

It’s the large but only an 8”
I haven’t had a chance to ride it yet, my lad took it to go to the shops and reported back as decent.
Should be dry tomorrow so an after school session I expect
I don’t get on with wider boards, I used to ride them in the 80s & early 90s but adapted to popsicles in the 90s and never went back.

I had a Dogtown Bigfoot reissue for a while (shouldn’t have sold it). Totally daft to ride, probably how 10” decks feel to popsicle riders.

All I’m saying is that did not go well!
Managed to fakie ollie on the mini ramp, but ollie too fakies hurt to much when you land on your arse. Regained a little self esteem by pulling off an ok backside smith grind. I think I’ll chuck the board back in the rafters of the garage. 52 is too old for this shit.

Clearly you just need to buy a new deck…

“I’m not going to do the flips, Dad. I’m not ready for that yet”
You and me both, son.

Nice try, though. You must have had some skills back then.
Like I said before, being in your 50s means you redefine what constitutes a trick. I’m buzzing right now because I managed the steepest roll in in the park (saving up my brave pills to re-learn dropping in) as well as frontside carves

Heading back from the allotment with my youngest today and I ollied an actual curb and kept rolling. Well over 20 years since I last did that. Felt good.

nice
Feeling inspired I took my skateboard out for a quick spin down the road and back. I’d forgotten how smooth it is. Gerry Lopez signature longboard with Revenge reverse trucks, Kriptonics 65mm 80A wheels and Bronson bearing. Would ride again.
