  • Fairlight's official* fitting guide for the PDW's on the Strael is to drill the rear guard and direct mount. One of their recent insta posts shows some spacers they've made up to mount the guards with.

    Mounting the light on the rear fender is a cool idea. It would be neat if you could combine the light mount with the little bracket that holds the arms for the mudguards (shit terminology, sorry), save drilling new holes.

    Ref please? Fwiw I drilled and direct-mounted SKS guard using the supplied spacers, but they are a poor little things, no more than plastic washers. I also had to ask Fairlight for some matching fixing bolts in place of the clumsy SKS items.

    Hive mind on point, this is so close, the bolt holes are aligned but it's M3 hardware.
    Drilling the holes to M5 would be easy but need to remove some of the mount to clear a larger bolt head.

    I recon a pillar drill might do the job, will message some people who might own one..
