There's definitely a different tone arm that fits a 1300, I've got a 1301, and it's the same mechanical set up for the auto cuing and return (and repeat if you must), but the time arm is different in assuming it's the same as the 1300MK2 and it's also got the quartz lock of the MK2.
If CDjapan is anything to go by hifi equipment should be pretty cheap there.

This Pioneer amp arrived today, £50 on eBay. It’s a match for my much loved PL-12D. It’s going on a sideboard next to a big comfy chair for solo headphone vinyl listening, although I could probably just sit and look at it all day.

Anyone got a half-decent turntable they're looking to shift? I bought one on ebay during lockdown purely based on looks (technics SL-20), but being an idiot I didn't really look at the voltage requirements, seeing it had a funny plug (Japan) I bought an adapter and plugged it in. Totally fried the motor and most likely other bits. Between waiting for various repair places to diagnose then see if they could find parts, coupled with my own general lack of motivation/other things happening in life, it sat variously on their repair desks and my spare room cupboard. I've just tried my final hope for repair (MCQ on Walworth road) but they've quoted £140 which feels like bad money after good at this point. So I'm going to consign the whole debacle to history and find a new table to play the many records that have sat unlistened to for too long now.
Oh, I also have a 'for spares or repair' SL-20 if that would be of interest to anyone?

Went to a friends studio at the weekend to listen to their ATC's, tempted to sell a few organs now to buy a pair.

All I have is a Sony PS-4300 that basically works but with a slight fiddle to make it play. Probably an easy fix for anyone with an ounce of spare time. If that sounds vaguely appealing drop me a DM and I’ll explain further!

After some discussion @hangedup's kind offer won't work for me, so still interested if anyone looking to move on a reasonable turntable.
Also, got the SL-20 for spares/repair. I think it's a lovely looking deck, but believe the motor has gone and replacement not worth what I paid for it at this point. Free.

Target TT2 turntable table, covered in garage dust and the veneer needs gluing, there’s some spikes wrapped in the tape.
Bottle of 8:99 supermarket red and collect it from Crystal Palace otherwise it gets binned or thrown back in garage if there’s space after the great purge.

ha got excited for a second that this had the brackets to wall mount. It doesn't though, does it.

No it’s freestanding
It also needs a thorough clean as dust and dirt blows in under the garage door. -

Recently moved house and managed to smash a valve in my preamp. Annoyance. It had 4 matched soviet era valves from the same manufacturer, same batch, dated 10/86. Replaced all 4 with same soviet brand, same batch dated 1/77. Not quite as sweet and detailed as the 10/86 batch, not as much big bollocks bottom and a slight hiss on the left channel. That means I got probably got lucky with my first batch and I probably have to do some tube rolling to make it sound how I want it! Got a really nice pair dated 66 which usually live in my Mullard 3-3 valve amp which could sub in if necessary.

Also got my record player apart to do the conversion from DIN to phono/RCA plugs, but I decided I’ve had too much wine to drink to accurately drill the holes in the back. I’ll do it tomorrow.

Sure the motor is blown and not the circuit board or internal fuse.
Is it Japanese 110v and you used a us 110v transformer? So different frequency of the power supply.
Have a dual 505 cs2 I think. Need to look at the belts all work Inc the variable bit. No idea on the needle tho.

Any interest from the forum for a schiit stack (modi2U + vali2 with stock tube), as well as sennheiser hd600? Great set up but I have moved on to speakers

Thanks for the previous guidance here. Multiple subsequent unsensible decisions made at my end, but I've enjoyed my music room. It turns out everything works better with the human on the floor and facing away from the window (red), and there are still occasions when I'd rather have speakers. So, should I get something tiny like Audioengine a2+ and put them on the table (dark yellow) or wall/shelf mount something larger like Elac debut connex dcb41? (Light yellow). Bike elsewhere.
More than half an eye on future uses/compatibility elsewhere in the house.

Scored a nice clean Pro-Ject T1 at Cashies today for £70. That’ll do for the new shop to let customers loose on.
Also a nice copy of Paul & Linda’s Ram from the record fair in the pub next door.
And watched the sprint finish of the ToB in town
And going to see Jeffrey Lewis tonight. Good day to be in Northampton. Not often you can say that.
