I like the strip around the outside. I'll be doing the floors soon, so questions.
Do you use that strip to 'square up' the area inside if the room isn't square. This would mean that the stip could be different thicknesses around the room, which might not look right
Do you lay the strip down at a constant thickness around the room, meaning that the herringbones might meet it at different points from one end of the room to the other?
When laying it you start from the middle (middle of the area between the border, maybe not the room) and work out, meaning that as all of of the blocks are uniform you should have the same cuts to fit the border on both sides.
