WANTED shorter stem for Croix de Fer

Hi, I am looking for shorten my current stem length on my CDF. I've never changed a stem before but how hard can it be? Current stem length is 90mm, looking for maybe 60mm or less. Thanks!

60mm brand-x? I bought it to do the same thing but ended up going back to a longer one. So it's been fitted and used for 100km or so.

It isn’t hard! However, 90>60 is a big jump. Might want to try 70/80 first?

Might be useful to post a location? I have a 80mm stem you'd be welcome to borrow/try in SE6. I think as others say 90>60 is a big jump (although appreciate 80mm is probably not enough)
